Missing their daddy!

I think Malia and Cole are definitely missing their daddy! Malia was working on the letter 'F' at preschool this week and she came home on Thursday with a little fishing pole and fish that they cut out and colored...and also a little bag of water with a 'fish friend' in it (that was actually a little baby carrot with eyes drawn on it) and they all got to name their little fishy friends....hers was named 'daddy'!! I think she's a daddy's girl cuz she named her little teddy bear 'daddy' when they did 'B' week too! Malia also loves to color and has drawn, colored, and stamped like 5 pictures for Ryan and taped them to the door so he will get them when he comes home (in another week!) She's such a sweet girl.
Cole doesn't really understand, but his face lights up when he hears Ry's voice on the phone. I love to see his huge smile then he turns and looks at the phone with a confused look on his face! It's pretty cute!
I have been okay, but I think it really sunk in a couple days ago that Ry is gone...and my exhaustion was setting in...and I just started bawling when Dan called to see if I needed anything (thanks dan! you're awesome!). After I hung up with him I kinda just lost it...and now I cry every day! It's just weird being away from Ry for this long...we've never been apart more than like 2 days since we've been married. So this is a long time for me....and still a week to go =( But it's a good opportunity for him and hopefully one of these times I'll get to go with him!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for that one!

awe!! too cute!! lol. I love how everything is being named "daddy!" :)
Hey thanks for making it out to Dante's birthday party tonight! I know you had tonz of stuff to do, plus being on your own with the two kids must have been exhausting! It really meant a lot to me that you came, so thanks again! :) ... sorry i couldn't talk too much with you, i love a good turn out, but always feel like i didn't talk to everyone enough while they were there. :P

I know how you're feeling. Let's hang out!

Malia will be excited to see him at the aiport. When you have to go on a business trip without your family, the best part is the airport when the kids scream "daddy" and come running up to hug you. Its not quite the same thing since people can't go to the area where you get off the plane, but its still great.

Awww. It's so hard to be away from husbands, huh? I use to cry when it was only over-night. Is he so flattered that everything is named after him?

Hang in there! Keep yourself busy, that is what I always do:)

That is so sweet. Brooklynn is more of a daddy's girl lately since the baby has been born.

I wish I would have checked in earlier. I know you needed someone at night, but I'm always up for a play date. I'm a home body unless invited, but let me know. :-)
