Decorations

I had a hard time deciding whether or not to put up my Christmas decorations this year because we are in the middle of packing and will be moving right after Christmas. But I figured since we are staying in our apartment for Christmas, we might as well have our tree up. But I am being lazy this year...so I let Malia decorate our tree all by herself. Ryan and I did the lights...and Malia put all the ornaments on herself. I don't even care that they are all bunched in the same spot...and that the rest of the tree is bare. She is pretty proud of herself, and I think she did a great job. So I am just leaving it. I think maybe I'll get a new, bigger one once we get into a house (who knows when and where, but still) and let her decorate this little one each year. We'll see. But anyway here's a picture of Malia's awesome decorated Christmas tree! I should have got a picture of the whole tree...but there isn't anything else on the rest of the tree anyway...it's all right there - and crammed into the corner between our couches =)

Some other things we've been up to lately: Me and the kids went and saw the new Madagascar 2 movie a few weeks ago. They loved it. I was suprised that Cole did as well as he did at the theatre. Luckily it was pretty empty so people didn't care that we were walking around a little bit and climbing up and down the stairs!!

Cole has learned a few new tricks. He loves bananas (and has learned to say 'nana' now too) but now he'll stick the whole thing in his mouth instead of taking bites. I guess he just sucks on it until it dissolves and he can eventually get the whole thing inside his mouth.

He also loves to stand on his head and look at you from under his legs. He thinks it is pretty darn funny and he does it all the time now.

And this last pic is Malia's new trick. This is how she likes to sit at the table now...I don't know how she eats (or colors or whatever) like that...and I'm sure one of these times the chair will tip over on her, then she won't like it so much any more!! But she is pretty excited about it so it's fun!
