Malia's 1st Soccer Game

Malia had her first soccer game this last saturday. I wasn't really sure what Malia would do or how she would act, but when we got there and they started 'warming up' while we waited for the other teams to finish their games, she was running around with the kids on our team and kicking the ball like a pro! But when the game actually started, she didn't want anything to do with it! She just stood there and picked her nose and watched the other kids run, even when the ball was literally 2 inches in front of her, she wouldn't even attempt to kick it! Hopefully she'll warm up to it and get used to it in the next few games and play a little bit more! It was kinda funny, but a little frustrating too! She was doing so good while they were practicing. I don't know what happened. She seemed to like standing in the net of the goal more than anything else. Which would be ok, if she would play goalie...but even when the ball came over toward her at the goal, she just stood and watched! Silly girl. The other kids all did really well. They all had their moments here and there too, but I guess we can't expect too much from 3 yr olds! It was pretty entertaining to watch though! I love it when they all try to pick up the ball with their hands and everyone is yelling to them to not touch it or whatever! It's great! And Ryan and Dan were pretty awesome coaches! I think we all realize now what a big job it is! Always trying to keep the kids on the field and running in the right direction, and not picking up the ball, etc. They did a great job! I can't wait till the next game! It was a lot of fun!

Malia standing in the net...like she did most of the game!

She is like me.. I stay as far away from Sports because I am afraid of the ball. I'm always picking my nose instead (haha) she looks so cute!

I was there and thought she did great. She was a kid like all of them, just having fun. And Kayla had a blast picking her out (Dad, look . . .there is Malia) It was fun seeing Cole run around too. You have great kids.

Soccer is so fun! Where are you getting all your cute pages? Are you making them? You'll have to show me how!

Jen, she looks so adorable in that soccer uniform. I love it. I love to see kids playing sports and running all around, and a lot of the time not knowing where they are going or what they are supposed to be doing. They are so much fun at this age!
