Your High School's full name: Jordan High School
High School Colors: Maroon & Gray
School Mascot: Digger Dan (beetdiggers)
Did you date anyone from your school? unfortunately, yes...and then I married someone that I went to HS with, but I didn't date him during those embarrassing teenage years!
It's Friday night where are you: hmmm...either dancing at a football halftime show, basketball game, etc...or just chillin' at home. Not much of a social life! An occasional date here and there is all.
Were you a party animal: um...I wish. I would have loved to hang out with the 'cool' kids. I could care less now, but back then I just wished I was in the 'in' crowd. I was too shy.
Were you considered a flirt: I don't think so. I was too shy. I tried to flirt once in a while when I got my nerves up, but it was probably pretty pathetic!
Were you in band, orchestra, choir, or other group: Just drill team. It took up most of my time.
Were you in any clubs: National Honor Society...and one other one...I think Key Club or something. I don't even remember what that one was for. I was a really good member huh!
Did you ever get expelled or suspended: No, but came real close to getting detention a couple times when I got caught sluffing
Can you still sing the fight song: Not all of it, but I remember the tune and most of the words. And the cheerleaders little dance that they do to it - when we had to learn it and do it with them for a performance.
Who were your favorite teachers: I liked the V-ball coach- he's in prison now...I loved my drill team coaches and advisors (most of them I should say) Westcott was pretty cool. But probably my very favorite teacher was Nikki Sue Baldwin who was the Child Development Tchr and was over the daycare/preschool that I worked at during and after HS. She was so cool!
Where did you sit during lunch: Either with friends in the cafeteria, or in the commons
Who was your prom date? Didn't go as a sophmore - I wasn't 16 yet. My Jr year I went with-umm...I can't remember, and my Sr year with ... I can't remember. Man, I'm getting old!
If you could go back and re-do high school would you: There's things I wish I could change or do different, but I was so excited to be out of HS I don't think I'd want to go through that again!
Were you a nerd? A little bit...I don't know!! You'd have to ask other people what they thought I guess!
Were you on any varsity teams? Does Drill Team count? I didn't do anything besides that all through HS
Where did you go senior skip day? Ummm...to school?? I remember hearing about it the day after! A bunch of people went and hiked Ensign Peak or something early that morning, then showed up at school for the 2nd half of the day or something.
Have you gained some weight since then? Who hasn't gained weight since high school? I was a skinny lil' twirp in HS...I used to think I was too skinny and I drank whole milk to try and get fat because I was embarrassed how skinny I was. I know. I was like the reverse of anorexic. Now I'm wondering what the *&^%#$! I was thinking back then! Maybe I could have saved my self a few pounds.
What do you remember about Graduation: It was LONG and the girl (Melinda or something) sang the Titanic song...kind of embarrassing and I wasn't even the one who did it! I was just glad it was over!
Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Umm, I just went last month. Wasn't that great. I saw 3 or 4 people that I was excited to see...but other than that, it was still the same clicky groups and arrogant center-of-attention boys...

You were not a nerd! I remember I felt so stupid when we both tryed out for drill and you made it! I was so jelous! I thought you were so cool! I still think your way cool!
XOXO
I am glad that I wasn't the only one that thought it wasn't teh greatest but hey you and Ryan can go to the one next year- I am sure it will be better than ours:)
your version of High school is pretty close to mine- but I didn't belong to any clubs, teams, you name it:)
it was great to see you again though:)
Seeing people again at HS reunions is so strange. Some people look a lot better than they did in highschool. Most at least look bloated and some people look pretty bad. There was this really good looking guy at my highschool named David. I remember that I was dumped by a girl I was dating because she started dating him. At the reunion I saw that he had gained 80 pounds and lost all his hair so it was sort of like poetic justice.
Highschool?! Don't get me started. Hated it. But made some good friends like you. Needless to say, my 10 yr reunion next summer? Won't be doing that whole thing. I too never fit in with the clicks and all that jazz and I'm sure there are still some of those clicks 10 years later. Um..we still need to see eachother and do something with our kids.
Hey Jen! Thanks for the HS memories! Miss Baldwin was a great teacher. I ran across this Ensign article a few years ago that I think was written by her. It's sad, just to warn you. Hope the link works
