I have been seriously slacking on updating my blog lately. We've been pretty busy house hunting lately...we've put offers on several houses and haven't got them...we've got one more we're still waiting to hear on, but if we don't get that (which, with our luck, probably not) than it's back to square one again.
Anyway, a bunch of us went and saw the Twilight movie last night (at midnight - yeah, we were totally crazy, but so much fun!) I am anxious to hear what everyone else thought about it. I was a little disappointed myself. It follows pretty close to the book, but I felt like they tried too hard to put too much information in it. I also thought the acting was a little below par and special effects just weren't great. It seems to me like they just didn't have the funding or whatever to make a better quality movie. It was fun to see though, don't get me wrong. I still enjoyed it, mostly because Robert Pattinson is gorgeous...and I thought the actors that play Jacob and Jessica fit their parts really well. But I didn't like Kristen (whatever her last name is) that plays Bella. I thought she was awefull. Sorry, I hope I don't ruin this for anyone if you haven't seen it yet. I was just disappointed, but it seemed like everyone else we went with totally loved it. We were laughing throughout the whole movie, so it was good, I was just expecting more I guess. Maybe the next time I see it I will like it more because I won't have the expectations. Who knows. Anyway, I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks once they see it.

I am so glad that you posted this....
I loved it just because I was sooo excited to see it. I too thought that the acting was a little below par and the special effects stunk!!! but I still loved it.
Kristen Stewart - not a big fan of her- she has been such a brat about this whole thing, she has been ragging on all of the "twilighters" she has been saying things like" geez, I can handle the fans on the internet, at least it is only a few people but when you go to an appearance, there are thousands of screaming girls, I just don't get it" geez girl be quiet- this is how you are getting paid, suck it up!!!
( sorry for my rant)
thanks for posting earlier about the tickets going on sale- because of you I was able to go last night:) thanks
I am dragging my hubby to it next week!!! I can't wait:)
I am hoping that they make the next movie, and that they at least spend a little more on the effects- so they are not so cheesy
lol. I knew that you would *finally* have a new post after Twilight last night! lol. ;) I thought the movie was great, some changes I loved, some were kinda weird... I dont want to say too much cuz who knows who will read my comment and get mad for me spoiling something, lol, but I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see it again!!! lol. :)
Keep me updated with the whole house thing!! I hope you guys get one before Christmas! that would make it easier for people to know what to get ya! haha.
I haven't had high expectations because I heard a long time ago that the movie was starting to get made awhile ago before it became as popular as it is now. I do think it will have more funding for the second movie though. But I am excited to go tonight and see it. And Yes, I think that Robert Pattinson will be a good Edward and he is cute!
I agree with you, I wasn't blown away by it and Kristen Stewart bugs me as an actress. She's only read the 1st book and doesn't seem to appreciate her character and the acting job. I think she is like Bella in real life, but there just wasn't much to her personality in the movie. I also thought Edward was much stronger in the books, but RP seemed like a good fit.
My mom loved it and thought it was perfect, so I might just be too cynical. I thought a lot of scenes were funny when they were supposed to be serious.
I am excited for the next movie to be made and will stay faithful to the series, but hope with more money and effort the 2nd will be better. One reason for my lack of love for the movie might come from my not liking the 1st two books very much. I liked Midnight Sun much more than Twilight and wanted to see more Edward and less Bella. (though not because of RP, his hair bugs me. ;-)
BTW, here is the link to where I take Sarah for gymnastics

Haven't seen it yet. Not sure if I will. I've heard too many bad reviews from friends on it. Maybe I should see it just so I can give my opinion. When I do, I'll let you know. :)
Brian Johnson rules. Go Utes! oh and I guess Edward??? Jer
Jen: I loved the movie but I'm not hard to please. I thought the cast was pretty good. I went with about 20 giggly "older" women such as myself and we had a great time. I think it's who you go with and not the movie itself. The entire theatre was screaming and yelling and cheering so it was fun! Oh and that gym that Liz referred you to is where I take my girls as well and I LOVE IT there. They are great. Allyson
I went with very low expectations, and I liked it. Of course, cheesy, but it was better than I thought it would be.
