This is me at the start of Pine Creek Canyon. It is one of the most beautiful canyons, but it's kinda nasty having to swim through the 40 degree stagnant water. I've done this canyon 6 times but I still love it!

One of the rapells in Pine Creek...it is 100 feet and you end up in the beautiful cavern
The group of us..Jeff, Sheri, me, Ryan, Nick, and Christian after the last rapell in Pine Creek...trying to warm up! you get pretty dang cold after seeing no sun for hours and swimming in that cold water!

Me and Ry on the Angels Landing trail...about a quarter of our hike to Behunin Canyon (my 2nd time doing this canyon)...it was a good resting point! And incredible views! The second pic is one of our favorite rapells in this canyon. You rapell 150 feet than hook into another anchor, then rapell another 150 feet, than switch ropes again, and do 100 ft more till you get to the bottom of this rapell! It's so much fun!!!

The last rapell of this canyon is the most amazing though. It's 165 feet and it's almost totally a free rapell...which means you are just hanging without touching any rock wall on any side of you. It's incredible! Then you hike down to Emeral Pools and take that trail out down to the road. If you look carefully, you can see the hotels in this picture at the bottom of the canyon! pretty cool! Anyway, I can't wait to go again. I would love to do Mystery canyon again...probably the most difficult hike I've ever done in my life, but still my favorite slot canyon I've ever done. The last rapell is down is 120ft into the narrows, then you hike down the narrows, which is a cool hike by itself! None one in our group has done this canyon yet - since I was the one who introduced the whole canyoneering thing to them anyway, and I would love for everyone to see this canyon! (sigh...) maybe next year!! =(

Bummer Jen! Your pictures are way good. Looks like fun!
That looks like an awesome vacation Jen. Sorry you can't go this year. We've had to skip out on fun vacations as well due to circumstances that were out of our control. Hopefully next year you can go.
Definitely Next Year...So I can come with you!!!
HA!
Wow, that looks amazing! What a fun thing to do. I'm sorry you can't go this year, but at least Ryan will be done with school.
That is too bad. I didn't know you guys liked that kind of stuff. Do you ever go backpacking? I used to go with my mother-in-law all the time before the kids....It's a blast to go with a big group of girlfriends! If you're ever interested.....we could do a big girls trip with the ladies in the ward :-)
Jen- your pics are awesome. We use to go hiking in Zion canyon but we haven't done that kind of stuff since Abbie was born. Hopefully it will work out next year!
Looks like a lot of fun. Well hopefully you will find a way but if not you have memories and next year. Email me about the pictures and I will let you know about prices.
Okay, I think I need to borrow your Eclipse book with the chapter for Breaking Dawn...unless it is just going to frustrate me more :-)
