Thanks to our new mortgage payment, we've had to make some cuts other places in our budget...and internet has been one of them. We do have a wireless thing installed in our computer though so occasionally I can get on...but I just don't know for how long and it will work one day and then won't the next. It hasn't worked for almost a week so it's been really frustrating.
Anyway, it's catch up time, so here's a few things we've been up to lately. First of all, we still haven't ordered the cushions for the kids' rooms on the window seat, and I'm starting to wonder if we should just leave them the way they are and just get a few more pillows to throw on top. The kids love to play on them and it wouldn't work very well with the cushions there. Malia uses it as her desk or table for her coloring...which is usually the first thing she wants to do in the morning and goes through at least 10 pieces of paper a day. She loves to color and paint! And Cole likes playing with his cars on his window seat area and lines them up and races with each of them, etc. I'm thinking he might be a little OCD cuz he will not let you move one of his cars out of it's place...he has to have them lined up perfectly! It's pretty cute!
Malia's preschool class had a field trip to the firestation a few weeks ago and they were so cute! They got to climb all over the fire truck and up in the ambulance and sit on the gurney, got to take turns holding the hose and squirting water, and all got their own little fireman hats. Cole was loving looking at the firetruck up close, but was too shy and scared of all the strangers to do the hose thing. And of course, Malia and Londyn were holding hands and joined at the hip the whole time they were there too! They are so cute together! It's funny too because Londyn's little brother is just a few months older than Cole and his name is Colden...but they call him Cole! Anyway, it was a fun little trip. Cole had to play with his little toy firetruck the second we got home and would not take of his fireman hat for the life of him!
About a week ago I took kids to get their hair cut. Cole did great, but would not look at the lady cutting his hair...he kept turning his head so he couldn't see her. He's so shy!! Just like his mommy I guess. And Malia had been nervous about getting her hair cut for a long time because she was worried she wouldn't be a princess anymore if we cut it...I guess because most of the princesses have long hair. So I kept telling her it would only be a teeny bit...and we ended up cutting almost 5 inches off. But you can't even tell because her hair was so stinkin' long! But she started getting nervous and wouldn't let me cut any more off. Maybe next time! She also has started asking me about getting her ears pierced...oh boy. I tried to explain to her how we get our ears pierced and that when she thought she was ready to handle it, then we could get them pierced....so we'll see! I think I might have scared her off for a little while at least! So anyway, here's some before and after pictures. Like I said, you can't even tell on Malia...but her pictures were cute anyway...and the picture of Cole is when he was eating pudding the night before we got hair cuts so he's kinda messy!
A few days ago we made cookies and the kids were such great helpers! The kept climbing on the counter looking into the mixer. It was a good picture opportunity so here ya go!
Malia also got to help us wash our cars! She is such a good helper!

Wow, Cole looks so much older with his hair cute. I think it looks great on him:)
Thanks for the offer of taking my kids, I really appreciate it!
Oh way cute! Cole is adorable in his little fireman hat! And Malia's just so dang cute all the time! I totally understand not having the internet - I went 6 months without it too! You'll survive though - at least you don't have to drive to your parents house to use it! :)
Your kids are too cute!!! I'm glad things seem to be going well for you guys and that the kids are doing well!
Great pics! Looks like you've been busy and having fun! :)
That was great to see your kids the other day when we were doing the sod. Malia is so funny. You should bring her by sometime to play at our house.
Hey your house looks super nice, I don't know why you are jealous! I am jealous of your hardwood floors! That's what we really wanted! We will definitely have to get together for dinner sometime. That would be great! Probably after Kellie gets married. We're a little tied up helping my parents in their yard. Jeremy said you guys should have bought a house down here in Eagle Mountain anyway. Jeremy works two minutes from Ryan and the commute isn't that bad! Well your kids are adorable and we can't wait to see you and your cute new house!
