My Child's Prayer

Tonight when we sat down to eat dinner, we asked Malia who's turn it was to say prayer and she just started saying it herself. So we folded our arms and closed our eyes and listened to her sweet little voice say her little prayer...'Heavenly Father, thank you for day...thank you all our blessings, name Jesus Christ, Amen'. I had to jump in and tell her to say 'thank thee for our food, and please bless it' and she repeated me. Then out of no where Malia said 'help us go to store and get chocolate milk'!! Me and Ryan couldn't help ourselves and we burst out laughing! I don't even know what she said in the rest of her prayer because we were laughing! Malia has been asking to go to the store and get some more chocolate milk for almost a week and I guess she had to go to a higher power to ask for it since I hadn't given it to her yet!! Anyway, we thought it was pretty funny!

I also had a fun weekend at the scrapbook expo! And as usual, I spent way too much! But this time, I only bought about $30 of scrapbook stuff, which was actually really good...but I broke down and bought a Cricut machine! I've been wanting one for YEARS and they had one for $99 so Ryan told me I could get it and it would be my Mother's Day gift. I am so excited! I've been playing with it ever since I brought it home. It's great!
It was also nice just to have a day away from kids - they're the best, but it's nice to get away sometimes so I can appreciate them more when I come back! And I totally appreciate Kathy for watching kids for Sheri and I while we went to the scrapbook expo. She is amazing and I could not ask for a better mother-in-law. Malia absolutely adores her too and I know Cole will more when he gets older. Kathy is so hilarious too! She is one of the best people to play games with because she is so funny! The night before the expo, we were all hanging out playing the Wii after kids had gone to bed and they had Kathy take a turn at it and she didn't finish quite as well as the rest of us. Her character on the Wii was an oriental person and she turned and said 'stupid Japs!' at the TV and we almost peed our pants because we were laughing so hard! She often says funny random things like that and it cracks me up! We love you Kathy!!
Oh, and here's a fun picture of Cole with his hair spiked. It only lasted about 5 minutes even with a ton of gel in it! But at least I got some pics first!

Ii don't think we're that stupid, but it's a funny story none the less...When my dad doesn't play as well on the wii as he likes...he says "stupid game" since he can't really say the other one ;)

That is so cute! I'm jealous you got to go to the scrapbooking expo- I wish we had one out here! You'll love the cricut- I broke down and got one last summer and use it all the time. Did you know Mindy had baby #6? I can't remember if I told you- he was born around Thanksgiving...Wyatt has 2 kids also. Sara's on a mission in Philadelphia and Cheyenne's taking college classes! Lots of changes in my family lately, but they're doing good. Your little ones are so sweet!

How sweet! Sarah opens her eyes during the prayer when she's giving thanks and goes around the room and says thank you for everything she sees. She can get creative at times. :-)

Steven turns 3 mo tommorrow, but he'll only roll from tummy to back. I'm not in a big hurry for him to be super mobile. I'm enjoying the "cute lump" phase. :-)
