Fireworks & Parades

This was a fun weekend for us!! Ry went down to do some slot canyons with his bro Jeff & Cory so it was just me and the kids...but luckily it was the Taylorsville Dayzz so we had some fun things to do! We went to the parade Saturday morning and then to fireworks that night. My kids had a blast at the parade and we sat by this cute little boy who was just barely older than Malia who would share his candy with Malia & Cole whenever he got any and they didn't. He was so cute! They both kinda freaked out when the firetrucks came by because they are so loud, but other than that they were loving it!
Sheri & Mason came with us to the fireworks and the kids were loving it and having so much fun! And Cole was whippin' out his dancing moves while we were waiting in line for Malia to use the bathroom...He is usually SO shy around a lot of people so I was surprised he was dancing like that! It was so cute! When it was time for fireworks Malia was totally into it and excited for them to start, but Cole looked like he didn't realize what he was getting himself into! He was kinda shocked at first, then got more and more quiet and slowly turned away from the fireworks...and after a minute wouldn't even look at them! It was so funny! He sat on my lap for a minute to watch them and let his heart rate slow down, then he started to relax a little bit and point out the colors he saw to me, etc etc. He wouldn't even sit by himself, but at least he was watching the fireworks! It was pretty funny...what a cute boy!
Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to do it again next week for the 4th of July weekend! I love this time of year!!
