Grown up Malia

Yesterday after I picked up Malia from Preschoo,l I gave her a fruit snack to hold her over till we got home for lunch, and she was telling me about all the fun things she did that day. She was a little busy playing with her 'shark' fruit snacks - there was the pink mommy shark, the green one was daddy, etc. Then I heard one of those church commercials on the radio about talking to your kids, and it made me feel guilty that I don't spend enough time talking with them, etc...so I asked Malia what she wanted to be when she grows up. She told me she wanted to be the pink shark. I had to laugh, but tried to keep her going and asked her if she wanted to be a doctor or a dancer or singer or princess (anything to spark her interest to keep her talking to me). Then she yells at me from the back seat 'No Mom! I want to be the pink shark when I get bigger!' So I said ok then. Pink shark it is. I'm so proud!
Cole is starting to get quite the little attitude. He's definitely a boy, and is already finding that he can hit and pull Malia's hair to make her cry. Little stinker. He is also finally learning to go down stairs since we've been staying at my in-laws. He did good for a while and would turn around and go down backwards...but then he figured out that he likes to just go forward and plop down on his bum and says 'bump'! on every step too.
Both kids are still having a hard time sleeping (and potty training) since we've moved too. I think just with all the changes and aren't familiar with anything yet...don't have their own toys, etc. And Malia went from nursery into primary now too, and in a new ward...so we've had a lot of changes for my poor kiddies. Then we'll be doing it again in a couple weeks. We are closing next Friday, but will paint and get carpet in before we move in. The other things we want to fix we can do after we move in...I am just anxious to get in there!
Oh, and my sister had her baby early Tuesday morning. Makenzi is so adorable! I wish I had some pictures to post, but I'll have to get some soon. But yesterday we got to go out and give Makenzi her first bath after coming home from the hospital. I have done that for 3 of my neices/nephews and I love doing it! I love giving baths to the sweet little tiny babies. I'll get some pics of her as soon as I can.
