Malia's graduation & dance recital

I've been seriously slacking at updating my blog...It's been so busy and a lot has been happening lately! Like my little princess graduating from Preschool! I can't believe she is starting kindergarten this year! It's so weird and I'm definitely feeling old!
Anyway, for her graduation they had their little ceremony at the Magnolia Grove reception center and had all the kids up at the front sing some songs and things for us, some with little props and sunglasses and things that they had made during the year! it was so cute! Then each class was presented by their teacher and they walked up to the stairs and told everyone what they wanted to be when they grow up!
On their last day of preschool (monday) they all were dressed up as what they wanted to be when they grew up...Malia REALLY really wanted to be a fairy or a princess. I tried explaining to her that she can't really be a fairy when she grows up and that it's more of what we want to do as a job when we grow up. I tried talking her into a dancer, or a nurse and she could wear my scrubs and take my stethescope, etc. But the only things she was kind of interested in was being a Mommy (cuz she could wear her little baby carrier thing and take her baby doll with her) or a Hair Stylist (because she wanted to take her purse and her play scissors and hair dryer, comb, etc) So she decided to do the hair stylist thing on Monday.
So at her graduation when it was her turn on the stairs, she got up there and said, "When I grow up, I want to be a hair style on the beach!" We were laughing so hard! I don't know where the beach part came from, but hey, I'd rather be on the beach too! But that she said 'style' in stead of 'stylist' was pretty funny too! She's so darn cute!
Anyway, then we got some pics outside with her teacher Miss Michelle who we have loved so much and will miss her! She has been an amazing teacher and I don't know what we would have done with out her! Here are some pics of her graduation...

Malia waiting outside for Daddy to get there before we went in..

Malia and then her bff Londyn (who said she wanted to be a Mom) up on the stairs telling everyone what they wanted to be when they grow up

Miss Michelle, then Gma Hunter with Malia

The two little princesses together! We are SO sad that they won't be in the same school anymore and hopefully they'll still stay good friends! They are so cute together and I hope their friendship lasts for their entire lives! We love our little Londee Lou!

Ok now for Malia's dance recital. We've had a fun year at dance and Malia has really enjoyed it! I have really liked this place too - their teacher Sara was amazing and they learn all the proper names for the ballet moves, etc. It has been great and I would definitely recommend them to everyone!
Malia has gone back and forth from being a total show off in class and to being really shy and not wanting to do anything! So I wasn't sure how she would do with her first recital! But she was awesome! There were parts that she kinda spaced it a little bit or wasn't paying attention but it was still so cute to watch! She really liked the 'digging' part and the 'frog jumping' parts as you will see...and at the end if you look at her mouth you can tell that she is belting it out singing along with the music! I wish you could see her facial expressions better too cuz she gets really into it in several parts! Anyway, she did a great job and we are so proud of her (and Londyn!) Thank you for everyone that came! It really meant a lot to Malia and she was so excited to see you all there supporting her! Anyway, here's the video and pictures of her dance at the recital...I will post the pictures that my awesome cousin Jacque took as soon as I get them...I guarantee they will be much better than mine with my dinky camera!

Waiting in the hall before the concert...

The 2nd gal in is Malia's teacher Sarah...she was great!!

Malia was so excited about getting her flowers and seeing everyone that came to watch her!!

The video of her dance...she starts on the left for the leap frog part then will be the 2nd little lady in from the left. Londyn (her bff) starts in the back a few girls to the right of Malia, then she goes to the front 2 girls to the right of Malia.

That's a cute video of her dancing. :) Cute pics of her too. And I totally understand the feeling when your first born is done with preschool. Hannah's last day of kindergarten is on Friday and in just a couple of months, she will be in school full time! I honestly don't know where this time has gone and how I can already have a 6 year old.
