Happy Easter!

Now that Malia is getting older, Easter (and all other holidays) are getting so much more fun! We took her to an Easter Egg Hunt at the park yesterday and she loved it. She was a little hesitant at first because of all the kids and it was pretty crowded. But she started picking up eggs and candy off the grass until she decided she had enough and told us she was all done. It was fun, but next year I think we'll try some where else...it was really crowded and all fenced in to a small area when they had 10 acres of the park they could have used. I don't know why they had it so small. But oh well.

We also had a little Easter egg decorating up at Grandma Baumann's house...Malia was getting into it and was covered in paint and dye...but it was fun! She was pretty proud of her eggs.

Today when Malia woke up she was pretty excited when we told her the Easter Bunny had come and left her a surprise. The Easter Bunny brought Malia a new puzzle, a Ken to go with her Barbie, some new sunglasses, and a book, and a Princess sing-a-long movie with a Princess necklace. Cole got a couple balls and cars...he doesn't need a lot yet since he doesn't know the difference. And of course they got tonz Easter Eggs with treats - that the Easter Bunny hid around the house and she had to find. She had fun looking though, and got really excited when she found an egg. But Malia is going through this phase where she doesn't like me to take pictures of her...or at least her face. So she holds something in front of her face so that I can't see her. Like this pic...I wanted to get a picture of her in her bunny slippers...but she wasn't having it! But I'll take what I can get!

We had ANOTHER Easter Egg hunt at Grandma Hunters house today too...with Malia's cousins Dante, and Ty. But since Mia is a little older...she got the hang of it more quickly and would snatch up the eggs before the other two had a chance to even find them. So we had to kinda sneak a few from her basket for the other kids! Next year they'll be all over it though! And Cole and cute little Owen will be in on the action too!

Anyway, after all the hunting for eggs and eating candy is done...Malia crashed and was in bed asleep by 7:00. I might have to skip naps more often!! It was so nice having all this time to get things done with both kids in bed so early!
